About the artist

Kayla Fox is a multidisciplinary artist intrigued by the way humans navigate and occupy the physical and emotive realms. Through the use of sculptural, fluid, and digital materials, she aims to connect with her audience though precious and curious objects. Fox’s work has long explored the psychological interactions between viewer and artwork; to connect to each viewer in a unique way through interpretative interaction between the art, and the previous experiences viewers must draw upon and tap into to relate to that work.

Okay, now out of third person, I'll continue. My journey in the as an artist started in the typical way, newspaper print covering my grandparent's dining room table, scribbling utensil in hand, and adorned in an oversized Hane's tee shirt as a smock. From there, I grew my love and talents in the creative world through a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Three-Dimensional Forum from the University of Washington, followed by a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health and Art Therapy from Antioch University.

This digital portfoilio aims to highlight my love for ceramics and sculptural arts, curiosity through watercolor paints, proficiency in technologies that aid in creativity, and experience as a research professional.
